How is the new Tawjihi average calculated?
The average has two parts: Grade 11 weighs 30% and Grade 12 weighs 70%. The total is out of 1000 and the average is the total divided by 10, so every mark in any subject is worth 0.1 of the average. All subjects weigh the same.

Common questions
How is the Tawjihi average calculated for the 2009 and 2010 generations?
Average = 30% of Grade 11 + 70% of Grade 12. The total is out of 1000 (300 for Grade 11 and 700 for Grade 12), and the average is the total divided by 10.
What is the difference between the 2009 and 2010 generations?
One Grade 11 subject: English (100 marks) for the 2009 generation and Mathematics (100 marks) for the 2010 generation. Grade 12 subjects and fields are the same for both.
What is the pass mark in each subject?
40% of the subject: 24 of 60, 40 of 100, 16 of 40 and 70 of 175. Below that in any subject, no average is calculated.
How many subjects can I retake to raise my average?
At most two subjects in each exam session, from Grade 11 or Grade 12, among subjects where you scored 50% or more.
How much does one subject raise my average?
Every extra mark in any subject raises the average by 0.1, so ten more marks in a subject add one point to the average.
Do you keep my marks?
No. The results are worked out in your browser and your marks stay on your device. A shared scenario carries the marks inside the link itself and is not sent to our server.
